Requirements
Everyone — Windows, Linux, macOS
Start here- 1Open the Chrome Web Store listing and click Add to Chrome.
- 2That is the whole install. Claude can now read and work with the page you are on.
Optional, macOS only — connect it to the desktop app
- 1Only needed if you also run PilotGentic Desktop and want the extension talking to it.
- 2In PilotGentic, open Skills → PilotGentic Browser Extension → Run Native Installer. This registers Chrome's native messaging host; it does not install a second extension.
- 3Back in PilotGentic, click Check Status. It turns green: “Extension active”.
Using Claude Code (CLI)?
Nothing extra to run. Claude Setup (step 3) registers Claude Code for you — confirm with claude mcp list, which should show pilotgentic and pilotgentic-dev. If you installed the claude CLI after PilotGentic, run Claude Setup again.
Alternative — install a standalone copy of the server from npm:
This still requires the PilotGentic app, and the npm copy can lag the version inside the app.
