System Requirements
Lighthouse audits require Node.js
The Console Live Panel and the pilotgentic_lighthouse MCP tool both use npx to run Google Lighthouse. If Node.js is not installed, the audit button will show an error. Install Node.js 18+ from nodejs.org and relaunch PilotGentic. All other features work without Node.js.
Installation guide
Download the DMG
Click Full or Lite below. Full includes offline voice models bundled in — everything works immediately. Lite is smaller and uses macOS built-in voice; you can download the full voice pack any time from within the app.
Open and install
Open PilotGentic.dmg and drag PilotGentic to your Applications folder.
Launch PilotGentic
Open PilotGentic from Applications. It will register as an MCP server and appear in the menu bar.
Open Claude Desktop
PilotGentic's tools are automatically available in Claude Desktop. No extra configuration needed.
Chrome extension — included with the app
The PilotGentic Browser Extension is not a separate download — it ships inside the desktop app. It puts the widget suite in every browser tab — the PG bar, Control Center, Stats overlay, Debug Footer, and a Chat widget backed by a real Claude CLI session — and streams live console errors, network failures, and performance metrics from every open tab to the desktop app. Try the live demo to see it before you install.
Install PilotGentic first
The extension is bundled inside the desktop app, so there is nothing extra to download — follow the installation guide above.
Run the native installer
In PilotGentic, open Skills and click PilotGentic Browser Extension, then click Run Native Installer. A Terminal window copies the extension to ~/.pilotgentic/extensions/cdp-chrome-extension and registers Chrome's native messaging host.
Load it in Chrome
Open chrome://extensions, turn on Developer mode (top right), click Load unpacked, and select ~/.pilotgentic/extensions/cdp-chrome-extension.
Activate and verify
Click Run Native Installer once more so it picks up the ID Chrome assigned to the extension, then disable and re-enable the extension in chrome://extensions. Back in PilotGentic, Check Status turns green: “Extension active”.
Or install from the Chrome Web Store
One click, and Chrome keeps it updated automatically. The bundled copy above is the same extension — use it if you would rather not install from the store.
Add to ChromeUsing Claude Code (CLI)?
After installing PilotGentic, add it to Claude Code with one command:
PilotGentic auto-registers with Claude Desktop. Claude CLI users need to run the command above once.
